Mr. Todd Harvey and his family reside in rural Cambridge where he has been inducted into the Cambridge Sports Hall of Fame. After playing minor hockey in Beverly, Todd went onto play for the Cambridge Winter Hawks Jr. B team. He then was the first overall draft pick from the OHL to go to Detroit. He won two gold medals at the World Jr Championships in 1994 and 1995, Todd was honored by being named Captain of the 1995 team that won in Red Deer. Mr. Harvey has played professional hockey for 13 years. He has playing with such teams as Dallas, New York, San Jose and Edmonton. Without a doubt Todd is one of Cambridge’s best known and respected hockey players.
Mr. Todd Hlushko resides in Guelph, Ontario and was a product of the Guelph Minor Hockey Association. Todd has had a very successful hockey career, playing/coaching professionally for 17 years. Todd played with the Philadelphia Flyers, Calgary Flames and Pittsburgh Penguins of the NHL. One of Todd’s highlights of his career was representing Team Canada at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer, Norway, where Todd lead his team in goal scoring on their way to an Olympic Silver Medal. The following year Todd also represented Team Canada at the 1995 World Hockey Championships in Stockholm, Sweden, where again he lead his team in goal scoring on their way to a Bronze Medal finish. Todd then decided to take his game overseas to Germany where he played for 6 years, winning a German Championship with the Mannheim Eagles of the DEL. He finished his overseas career, first as an Assistant Coach for the Hannover Scorpions of the DEL, and then as their Head Scout the following year. Todd then took his passion for hockey to the next level by getting his NCCP(National Coaching Certification Program) Advanced level 1. Todd was also as assistant coach with the Guelph Storm of the OHL in 2005/06. Hockey has been Todd’s life, he now plans on passing his knowledge to the next generation of hockey players.
